Your Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN AIRPORT and transfer to hotel, rest day, itinerary briefing
Day 2:SIGHT-SEEING OF KATHMANDU VALLEY: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (An UNESCO world heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay overnight.
DAY 3: KTM-DHUNGE-SAILUNG (7 HOURS)
Following road transportation from Kathmandu- Dhunge, start the soft uphill trek from Dhunge to Thulo Sailung enjoying its history and breathtaking Himalaya and Hill panoramas. Photograph the sunset on Mount Gaurishanker (7,134mts) before retiring for the evening and overnight at the community lodge in nearby Kholakharka.
DAY 4: SAILUNG – RAJVEER-KHOLAKHARKHA
Enjoy sunrise and morning views of the Himalaya vista from Thulo Sailung while also visiting Sano Sailung sacred caves, Tiger rocks and Chhortens. Thulo Sailung is regarded by the Tamang people as the abode of the territorial deity, Sailung Phoi Sibda Karpo,(Sailung’s White Male Lord of the Earth). Visit Rajveer Gomba and forests after lunch. Enjoy the evening Sherpa cultural programme before your overnight at Kholakharkha.
DAY 5: KHOLAKHARKA-RAJVEER-SURKEY (4.30 HOURS)
During the descent to Surkey Village through the Sailung forest, you will see a wide diversity of native tree, shrub and bird species down towards surkey. Tourists are welcome at Rajveer monastery and to receive a blessing from the Lamas. Enjoy a relaxing foot bath at the cooling waterfall near Surkey. Your Homestay overnight at Surkey Village is a Newari cultural experience.
DAY 6: SURKEY-TINGHARE-DORAMBA (4 HOURS)
Experience the Thami cultural programme at Tinghare Village before crossing into the Doramba valley via the rhododendron-filled forest around to the rolling terraced fields of Doramba. Enjoy Tamang Homestay culture and the very colourful evening Tamang traditional cultural programme at Doramba.
DAY 7: DORAMBA-GALBA-KHANDADEVI (4.30 HOURS)
Trek towards Augleshwori hill with dramatic views of the Himalaya and the rolling Mahabharat hills below. Enjoy cold drink, snacks and lunch at Galba bazaar before walking through the terraced scenery and pine forest to the sacred Khandadevi temple. Visit the temple and enjoy a spectacular sunset view and sight of the Sun Koshi River 1500 metres below. Relax with traditional Tamang Homestay hospitality this evening.
DAY 8: KHANDADEVI-HILEDEVI/DONGME (4 HOURS)
Following the pre-dawn and sunrise photographic experiences trek towards Hiledevi following a long ridge of thick pine forest, home a wide diversity of bird and other wildlife species. Experience the neat, traditional houses along the trial before reaching the house of the ancient Yolmo people in Dongme. Enjoy stunning sunset views from nearby Sunapati and visit Buddhist Chortens before returning to the monastery at Dongme to spend the night and to enjoy the Yolmo cultural programme.
DAY 9: HILEDEVI-SUNAPATI-LUBUGHAT (4 HOURS)
Enjoy an equally eye-catching sunrise from Sunapati before the final descent to the village of Lubughat on the Sunkoshi River, famous for adventure rafting. Learn traditional river fishing with the Majhi community and relax on the sandy beach beside the river. In the evening you will enjoy a fish BBQ or pig roast (or both if you’re really hungry), while learning about Majhi culture during a proudly-performed song and dance.
DAY 10: LUBUGHAT-NEPALTHOWK-DHULIKHEL (4 HOURS)
Cross the river by Majhi raft and suspension bridge to Nepalthowk to catch the local bus or micro-bus for the short two-hour drive to Dhulikhel. Take an extra night in Dhulikhel.
DAY 11: DHULIKHEL-KATHMANDU
After breakfast in Dhulikhel we will take short drive to Kathmandu rest of the day is free for your private things to do like shopping, rest etc and evening we will take you to reputed Nepali kitchen for a delicious local Nepali cuisine. As you enjoy your meal, you will be entertained with a thrilling cultural dance performed by the local belles of Kathmandu. You will enjoy your last evening in Kathmandu.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE FOR HOME
Our escort team will be ready to take you to the airport for your onward flight home. This will be a most memorable holiday ever experienced in a lifetime.
